About Timo

With more than a decade of experience behind the decks and in the studio, Timo Lissy crafts electronic music that connects deeply. Before diving into the world of electronic sound, he spent years learning piano and drums, which laid the foundation for his rhythmic precision and musical sensitivity.

As a producer and DJ, he explores different shades of psychedelia and groove across his three projects: deep and hypnotic psytech, bushtech and peaktime techno as Timo Lissy; playful and progressive journeys as MoodMode; and funky, melodic psytrance as Futurum Sonat. Beyond his own music, Timo provides high-quality mastering for artists around the world and for nearly every release on his non-profit label Frequency Squad.

His sets are known for their emotional connection with the crowd and unforgettable energy. Having performed in multiple countries, Timo brings technical skill, emotional depth and a love for sonic storytelling to every track and performance.

Frequency Squad

As another heartfelt project, Timo founded Frequency Squad – a non-profit label and collective for deep and psychedelic sound – from techno to psytrance and beyond.

FQSQD is here to support and promote innovative, high-quality electronic music and the artists behind it. Whether it’s driving techno, progressive psytrance or something totally unexpected – if the vibe is right, it belongs. The Squad brings together authentic crowds, forward-thinking producers and a love for sound that transcends genres.

Lessons & Coaching

Timo regularly gives electronic music production workshops at SAE and also offers private coaching sessions. Whether you're starting out or want to deepen your skills in sound design, arrangement or mastering – lessons are available in person or online.

Every track is different – and so is every master. Whether you need transparency, edge or a polished finish, I tailor the result to your music and vision.

My approach balances loudness and dynamics – powerful enough to compete, but still breathing with depth and space. I’ve mastered nearly every Frequency Squad release – from deep bush techno to driving psytrance – and support artists around the world with finishing their music.
